Ringkasan Cerita FILM HANCOCK (2008) 

Hancock (Will Smith) adalah seorang tuna wisma yang berkeliaran di kota Los Angeles. Bedanya dari para tuna wisma lain adalah bahwa Hancock memiliki kekuatan super. Ia tak mempan peluru, bisa terbang, punya kekuatan melebihi manusia biasa dan tak bisa bertambah tua. Sayangnya superhero satu ini punya kebiasaan buruk: mabuk.

Sebagai seorang superhero, Hancock selalu ‘membantu’ tugas polisi menangkap para penjahat yang membuat kerusuhan di kota Los Angeles. Sayangnya, karena kebiasaan mabuknya, Hancock malah sering kali membuat kerusakan yang nilainya tak sedikit. Ia memang berhasil menangkap para penjahat, namun kota Los Angeles harus menanggung kerugian yang tak sedikit pula.

Suatu ketika, Hancock menyelamatkan seorang pria bernama Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman) yang ternyata adalah seorang Public Relation. Merasa berhutang nyawa, Ray kemudian mengajak Hancock untuk singgah di rumahnya. Di sini Hancock kemudian berkenalan dengan Mary (Charlize Theron) istri Ray dan Aaron (Jae Head) putranya.

Dari awal pertemuan tampak bahwa Mary tidak menyukai Hancock namun pada saat yang sama juga menyimpan suatu rahasia. Sementara Ray sangat ingin membalas budi baik Hancock dengan cara berusaha memperbaiki citra superhero ini di mata masyarakat. Ray kemudian menyarankan agar Hancock mencoba untuk berhenti ‘minum’ dan berkelakuan baik. Ray bahkan membuatkan satu kostum superhero untuk Hancock.

Sebagai langkah awal, Ray meminta agar Hancock bersedia menjalani hukuman atas kerusakan yang telah ditimbulkannya pada kota Los Angeles. Dengan setengah hati Hancock menyetujui rencana Ray ini. Hancock kemudian mengikuti terapi kecanduan alkohol selama menjalani masa hukumannya di penjara.

Dengan tidak adanya Hancock, angka kejahatan di Los Angeles meningkat pesat. Kepala Polisi terpaksa harus meminta bantuan Hancock untuk menanggulangi masalah ini. Hancock yang sudah mulai menyadari kesalahannya kemudian bersedia membantu pihak kepolisian, kali ini dengan cara baik-baik tanpa membuat kerusakan seperti sebelumnya.

Di saat citra Hancock mulai membaik dan ia mulai dielu-elukan masyarakat sebagai pahlawan, Mary yang semula tidak suka dengan Hancock mendadak bersikap lain. Hubungan terlarang ini bahkan akhirnya membuka tabir rahasia tentang siapa sebenarnya Hancock. Terungkapnya misteri ini justru membuat Hancock malah menghadapi dilema besar.

This British movie is about a group of inept criminals who decide to rob a bank so they can save their grandfather’s retirement home from being demolished by developers. Meanwhile on another building site some workers dig up an old graveyard and they get bitten by the “undead” which sets off a chain reaction. Then the bank robbers are cornered by the police while in the process of the robbery, but when they exit they find that they are all dead as a result of the horde of zombies. They have to get to the retirement home before the zombies do!

John (Scott Adkins) awakens from a coma to discover his wife and daughter were slaughtered in a brutal home invasion. While John tries to piece his reality back together, things get more complicated when he is pursued by a relentless UniSol named Magnus (Andrei Arlovski).

Meanwhile, Deveraux and surviving UniSol Andrew Scott (Dolph Lundgren) are preparing to battle anarchy and build a new order ruled by Unisols without government oversight. They are weeding out the weak and constantly testing their strongest warriors in brutal, life-and-death combat.

Luc has emerged operating the Unisol Church of Eventualism, taking in wayward Unisols whom the government has been secretly operating as remote-controlled sleeper agents. His mission is to liberate these Unisols from the implanted memories and the lies the government has inserted in them. As John gets closer to Deveraux and the rogue army of genetically enhanced warriors, he discovers more about himself and begins to call into question everything he believed to be true.

This film is set in the near future in a post-apocalyptic time with five survivors struggling to get through each day. Will they survive?
